FORESTRY
Our heritage for generations
What makes us unique?

Our forests
Hidden values
Our areas are located in the northern part of Heves County and on the eastern edge of Nógrád County, and are part of the Heves-Borsod Hills. The backbone of our stands is made up of holm oak forests, but mixed pine forests and acacias also add to the diversity of the managed areas. Despite the fact that the average altitude above sea level ranges between 250-350 m, the region is diverse with exciting natural formations. We are especially proud that the Lyukas-kő in Ivád and the Bálvány-kő near the Sirok Castle (Törökasztal, Barát and Apáca) are part of our management area.

Biodiversity
In harmony for a diverse future
Protecting the complexity and diversity of forest ecosystems is an important task for us. We strive to increase the number of mixed species in forests, take care of biotope trees, provide microhabitats with dead wood, and manage with the lowest possible noise pollution. We believe that as a result of these measures, not only will more valuable fauna and flora elements enrich our areas, but we will also increase the resilience of our forests.

Sustainability
Improving forests is key
In our management, in addition to silviculture and nature conservation tasks, we also deal with timber production. However, these work processes are carried out under continuous and strict supervision, keeping in mind the unique characteristics and development opportunities of the stands. This ensures that we can make a variety of timber available with sustainable and close-to-nature forest management methods. We can contribute to the warmth of hundreds of homes with firewood, and through our carpentry partners we can bring joy to families who choose wooden furnishings and furniture.
